Adjusting the Gap between Impact Plate and Blow Bar: This is the most direct mechanical adjustment for defining the maximum product size. By hydraulically or mechanically adjusting the gap between the impact plate (or apron) and the path of the blow bars, operators can set a clear boundary for how large the final particles can be. A smaller gap yields a finer product, while a larger gap allows for a coarser discharge.
Replacing or Reconfiguring the Liners and Blow Bars: The wear parts influence the crushing dynamics. Using different blow bar profiles or materials can alter the impact characteristics and the resulting product shape. While not a daily adjustment, this provides a strategic level of control over the long term.
